Chicago White Sox Game 09-19-10 Vs. Detroit - One of the Best Ball Games I have Ever Seen in my Life!

At the bottom of the 9th it was Detroit 7, the Sox 3, and half the people had gone.

My wife and I decided to take advantage of the empty park and walk the circle just above the 100 level seating so we could take in the whole stadium.

We got to the far side of the 1st base fowl line and turned back to watch, because we noticed that the Sox had gained momentum.

From there we gazed upon our first "in person" sports miracle. The Sox turned the game around in the bottom of the 9th, and it was AMAZING!

The 10th and 11th innings were pure war in a four+ hour game. We watched from 3 rows up off home plate, without blinking.

An error by the Sox catcher throwing to 1st put a Detroit runner on third and lead to a Detroit two run lead.

A really bad breeze, pulled what looked like a game winning, line drive, home run, off Paul Konerko, back across the 3rd base fowl line. The damn thing made a mean J hook at the last minute. But the Sox didn't throw in the towel.

They kept fighting, managing to get 3 men on, but fell just short of glory.

No one likes to lose. But whats worse than losing is giving up, and the Sox NEVER gave up! Tonight's game was hands down the best game I have ever seen in person!

I'm proud to have seen the Sox effort today!
